Taking a step back is also part of innovation.

There are times during the year when the best way to keep moving forward is to pause for a moment and reflect.

Summer gives us that opportunity: to look back with perspective, reflect on the projects we’ve delivered, and better understand where our industry is heading.

At Coloma + Armengol, we see innovation as a continuous learning process. Not only through the projects we develop, but also by listening, observing and exchanging knowledge with other professionals.

The first half of the year has brought us new projects, new challenges and many opportunities to step outside our usual environment. We’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with public administrations, private companies, universities and industry professionals, taking part in technical conferences, industry events, professional visits and collaborative initiatives that have allowed us to exchange ideas and gain different perspectives on the digital transformation of the construction sector.

Every experience has been different.

Yet they have all led us to the same conclusion.

BIM has matured. Now the way we work is evolving.

A few years ago, the main challenge was implementing BIM.

Today, the challenge is different.

BIM is no longer the question. It has become the foundation on which much more complex challenges are being addressed.

Organisations now need to integrate information, define efficient processes, build trust in their data and enable true collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

This means that technology alone is no longer enough.

The real value lies in people, in processes, and in the ability to turn information into meaningful knowledge.

That is probably the greatest change we have observed during these first six months of the year.

One idea that stays with us

If we had to summarise this first half of the year in a single sentence, it would be this:

Digital transformation is not about adopting more technology. It is about helping organisations make better decisions through more reliable, connected and meaningful information.

This idea has emerged repeatedly throughout our projects, conferences, technical events and conversations with professionals from across the industry.

And it is the mindset that will continue to guide our work throughout the second half of the year.

At Coloma + Armengol, we remain committed to helping companies and public organisations transform technology into practical processes, information into knowledge, and knowledge into better decision-making.

Have a wonderful summer!

Before taking a short summer break, we would like to thank all our clients, partners, collaborators and institutions for being part of this journey.

A very special thank you also goes to the entire Coloma + Armengol team for their commitment, professionalism and dedication in tackling every new challenge with enthusiasm and a constant drive to improve.

We look forward to reconnecting in September with new projects, new challenges and the same passion for continuing to learn and contribute to the future of our industry.

Have a great summer!
